Jeffrey Kimpson, M.D. graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry in 1981. He attended Wayne State University School of Medicine where he completed his residency in Anesthesiology in 1989, with specialized training in Pain Management and Pediatrics. Dr. Kimpson is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He is also board certified by the American Society of Pain Management and the American Society of Pain Medicine.

Since completing his residency in 1989, Dr. Kimpson has been on staff at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He also served as the Medical Director of the Providence Pain Clinic for 9 years.
